The European Union banned all food products containing beef hormones on the basis that the hormones…?
may cause cancer. The united states and canada filed a complaint with the WTO, claiming that it was discriminatory against their beef industries, and that it constituted an unfair trade restriction. The WTO ruled against the EU’s ban, demanding scientific certainty that the hormones cause cancer.
What are the effects, both beneficial and harmful, of this WTO ruling?
They are tied in to the tax percentage of the product, of course they will go against the ban!!! The effects is that they will lose money if it banned and if its not banned then people will suffer and the powers that be will grow fatter and richer!

Euro-MPs opt for clearer food labelling rules
