Who is not a fan of current ability based US immigration policy?
Who isn’t a big fan of the current policy of ability-based legal immigration? I feel that we allow the rich into this country, but no longer the poor. I feel that the rich Indians, Chinese, Koreans, Europeans do not blend in with our culture and refuse to become part of the melting pot of American society. It is the poor who blend in, who share their culture with other Americans, who share their food with other Americans, who take the time and energy to learn what being American is all about. This is why we eat Italian food, celebrate Hanukkah, and party on St. Patrick’s day. How do you all feel about this?
You are misinformed. After WW2 America benefited from the european brain drain in which thousands of proffessionals immigrated to the US to escape socialism. These people were go getters that did not clog up our safety net. Now there are strict limits on such proffessionals but no limits on uneducated people walking across our southern border.

It was only when Max Ophuls made his famous film in 1950 that the work became better known as La Ronde. Now David Hare has reset these circular scenes of love and betrayal in the present day, with a cast of two actors playing a succession…
