It’s incredible, the “hottest” women where I live (California) would only be considered average in comparison to Europeans. Any of them that came here would undoubtedly be approached by a modeling agency. Ok, I’m exaggerating a bit, but that’s how I saw it.
Yet I see them eating gelato, milkshakes, candy bars, and tons of pasta. But they look like supermodels. It kills me. I eat a lot of junk, too, but I’m paying for it – my body isn’t overweight, but isn’t as thin as I’d like. They never, ever exercise – I’ve never seen anyone jogging, no fitness centers.
Do Europeans just have higher metabolisms and more favorable genes than Americans?
The real answer is moderation.
The ladies you see eating might not eat anything but veggies the rest of the day.
And while you do not see the fitness centers, they do exist and are often used.
I wish I had as much control as my French friends, I am twice their weight with only a little more length to put it on.
These friends eat very nice cooked lunches and dinners, all of four bites of it.
And for the sweets, they serve their guests and husbands, and than come in with what seems an empty bowl for themselves.
But every once in a while they will treat themselves on a nice ice cream or so.
Of course there are the lucky ones, who can eat as much as they like, but there are people like that in the USA too. The difference is that most people who can not eat all, will still eat everything, and in great amounts too.
